Returns
Stock pieces — tees, accessories, drops — you have 14 days from delivery to send it back unworn with tags. The refund hits the same card you paid with. Email returns@lostinblack.co and we'll send you a label.
Custom pieces — see Custom Orders below.
Custom Orders
Custom work runs on a different clock and different rules than stock pieces. Here's how it works, plainly.
Timeline
Most custom and bulk orders take 8–14 weeks start to finish — sourcing, sampling, production, finishing. We confirm the timeline in writing before you pay.
Deposit
Custom orders require payment in full up front. We need the funds to source materials and start cutting.
Cancellation protection — both sides
We start work the moment your order confirms. If you cancel after we've begun production, we keep a percentage of the order to cover materials and labor already committed:
- Cancel within 24 hours of ordering — full refund.
- Cancel before we've cut fabric (typically within the first week) — refund minus a 15% production hold.
- Cancel after we've started production (typically after week one) — refund minus 25% to cover sourced materials and labor already committed.
- Cancel within the final two weeks before delivery — non-refundable. The piece is yours; we'll ship it.
If something is wrong on your confirmation, email us within 24 hours and we'll do what we can to fix it before we cut.
Final sale
Once delivered, custom pieces cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded except where required by law. This is the trade — custom means yours alone, and we can't put hours into making it somebody else's.
Pre-Orders
Certain items on lostinblack.co are available for pre-order prior to production. The following terms apply to all pre-order purchases.
Minimum quantity requirement
Pre-order items require a minimum number of orders before production is confirmed. If this threshold is not met by the stated pre-order deadline, all affected orders will be automatically cancelled and fully refunded.
Payment
Pre-order items are charged at time of purchase, not at time of shipment.
Timeline
Confirmed pre-orders carry an estimated fulfillment timeline of 8–14 weeks from order confirmation. This timeline begins only after minimum quantity is met and production is greenlit.
Cancellation
Pre-orders may be cancelled by the customer for a full refund at any time before production is confirmed. Once production is confirmed, the standard custom order cancellation policy above applies.
Communication
Customers will receive email updates at each stage — confirmation, production greenlight, production completion, and shipment.
Lost in Black Custom Co. reserves the right to extend the pre-order window at its discretion, with notice to affected customers.
Sizing
Every piece is cut differently because every piece is made differently. We list measurements on each product page — pit-to-pit, length, and sleeve. Measure a shirt you already own and love, compare it to ours, and pick the closest match.
If you're between sizes, size up — most of our work is meant to be true-to-size or baggy.
Care
These pieces are hand-finished. Treat them that way. Cold wash, inside out, hang dry. No bleach, no tumble dry, no dry cleaning unless we specifically tell you otherwise.
Iron on the reverse side, never directly on prints or rhinestones. Done right, these will outlast trends. Done wrong, they won't.
